How does our aeration service work?
Aeration is the process of loosening the soil on your lawn to make it easier for the roots of your grass to receive the water, air, and nutrients that they need. As we run our core aerators across your lawn, they will pull up small plugs (also known as cores) of soil from your turf. As these plugs are removed, they will leave tiny holes in your lawn. When your roots are able to receive and absorb all of these elements, it will allow your grass to grow nice and strong.
We offer aeration in the spring and the fall seasons.
The most ideal time of the year to schedule aeration for your lawn is in the fall - either September or early October. This service is beneficial in the fall because your grass is still actively growing and will need all of the resources that it can get to gain its strength before winter dormancy. However, fall isn't the only season that we recommend having your lawn aerated. We also recommend scheduling aeration a second time in the spring. When you aerate your lawn in the spring, you will give it a boost heading into the growing season so that your grass can grow nice and strong.

We offer an overseeding service directly after aeration. Overseeding is the process of spreading grass seeds across your lawn to encourage new growth. This will fill in any bare or patchy areas on your lawn with new, healthy grass. This service is only offered after we've aerated your lawn because the seeds will be able to fall into the holes that our core aerators created, allowing them to establish themselves deep into the soil where they have the best chance to grow. We recommend that you schedule overseeding in the fall.
